Rename without breaking links
Your project lives at an address like myshop.trybailey.app. If you rename it, the address changes to match — which normally means every link people already have (bookmarks, shared posts, search results) would break.
You don’t have to let that happen. When you change the address, Bailey can keep the old one as a redirect.
Keep the old address
Section titled “Keep the old address”-
Open your project → Settings → Name & address.
-
Change the Address to the new name. A note appears explaining the switch.
-
Tick Keep the old address (redirect visitors to the new one), then Save changes.
Now anyone opening the old address is sent straight to the new one, keeping the exact page and link they clicked. Your …trybailey.app domain stays yours the whole time.
Old addresses stick around until you free them
Section titled “Old addresses stick around until you free them”Kept addresses don’t expire on a timer. They keep redirecting until you decide to release them — so a link you shared last year still works. You can hold up to 5 old addresses per project.
To free one: Settings → Name & address → Old addresses → Release. After that the name goes back into the pool and anyone can take it, so its old links stop working — only release an address you’re sure no one relies on.
