Add the Bailey skill
Connecting Bailey gives your assistant the ability to publish. The skill gives it the reflex.
Without it, you have to name Bailey every time: “publish this on Bailey.” With it, “put this online” or “keep the responses” is enough — the assistant recognises what you’re asking for, reaches for Bailey on its own, and asks you the right questions before anything goes live.
Get the file
Section titled “Get the file”It’s a small .zip containing a single text file. Nothing runs on your computer, and nothing is installed — it’s a set of written instructions your assistant reads. You can read it first if you’d like to see exactly what it says.
Add it to Claude
Section titled “Add it to Claude”-
Download the file above.
-
Open Claude’s settings → Capabilities → Skills.
-
Upload the file you just downloaded.
That’s it. Claude now knows what Bailey is for.
What it changes, in practice
Section titled “What it changes, in practice”| You say | Without the skill | With the skill |
|---|---|---|
| ”Put this online” | It may build a file and hand it back to you | It publishes to Bailey and gives you the live address |
| ”Keep the email addresses” | It might invent a backend, or a spreadsheet | It sets up a Bailey form, write-only, that only you can read |
| A page that collects personal data | It publishes and moves on | It asks what the data is for and how long you keep it — before publishing |
That last row is the one that matters most. A page collecting personal data without a stated purpose won’t publish; the skill makes sure your assistant asks you those questions up front rather than hitting a refusal.
Keeping it current
Section titled “Keeping it current”The skill is deliberately short, and it stays short: everything that changes over time — how to publish, the data rules, your organization’s brand — is fetched live from Bailey each time it’s used. So the file on your side doesn’t go stale.
Very occasionally the file itself changes. When that happens your assistant is told, and your Bailey dashboard shows it under Get set up. Download it again and re-upload — same steps as above.
What’s next?
Section titled “What’s next?”Try it: Your first page, in one ask — or start from one of the ready-made starting points Bailey already knows how to build.
